Community Involvement

  • The Resale Depot is a second hand store in Jackson dedicated to making our community a better place. The proceeds from the store go directly to fund ministries in the Jackson area. By helping there we get more bang for our buck – helping people find low cost clothing/housing items, and supporting Jackson ministry.

    If you would be interested in volunteering at the Resale Depot they will take you anytime, but we have crews from Rivertree who help out there every Tuesday and Thursday.

  • Located on Wilkins St. in downtown Jackson the Together We Can Make A Difference House is actively making a difference in the lives of people in the downtown area. They serve as a cleaning house for a huge variety of ministries including:

    • Kids Explosion – Bringing the message of the Love of Jesus to Jackson area children in the communities where they live.

    • Cooking Classes

    • Bible studies

    • First Fruits – an initiative to bring fresh fruits, vegetables and meats to families who need them.

    • The Priceless Gifts Toy Store – Helping families in need provide Christmas for their children.

  • There are few community events that lift the spirits of Jackson like the Hot Air Jubilee. We got involved as a way to bless our community. Every summer we run the Kids Kingdom for the Jubilee. This means we staff carnival style games, have fun with the kids and connect with families. It is a great opportunity for us. We are always looking for people to help plan and staff the Kids Kingdom.

  • Every December we partner with the Together We Can Make a Difference house and St. Vincent DuPaul to bring the Priceless Gifts Toy Store to our community. Parents in need of a little help at Christmas time can come and get presents for their kids. Every year the Priceless Gifts Toy Store serves hundreds of Jackson area families.
